From the founder and a cancer survivor - Priyanka Chaturvedi

Born from experience. Built with purpose.

On April 14, 2023, three words changed everything for me: You have cancer.

In that moment, my world shifted. I found myself navigating hospital corridors, infusion chairs, and long nights of uncertainty. I lost my hair, my strength, and at times, even my sense of self. But through it all, I held on to one thing — the quiet belief that healing is not just about treatment. It’s about dignity. It’s about comfort. It’s about still feeling like you.

During my own cancer journey, I laughed, cried, cracked jokes with my children, wore pink sarees to chemo, and even took makeup tutorials in between naps. And somewhere in the mess of it all, I realized something simple yet powerful — there was no space that truly saw me as a whole person, not just a patient.

That’s when Di Chapter was born.

Not just as a clothing line — but as a gesture of care for every person walking through illness. A way to say: you don’t have to choose between being cared for and being seen. Our garments are designed with medical access in mind, but made for real life — soft, adaptive, beautiful, and rooted in the belief that you deserve to feel whole through it all.

When I first spoke to Arjun, I recognised in him a quiet conviction — the kind that comes from having witnessed pain up close and choosing to respond with purpose. He understood what I had gone through without needing it explained. The silent discomfort. The loss of identity. The small, daily battles that go unseen.

What moved him wasn’t just the design of our clothes — it was the why behind them, the intent stitched into every seam.

Together, we saw a shared mission: to bring Di Chapter beyond India, into homes, hospitals, and healing spaces across New Zealand and Australia. Because no matter where you are, everyone deserves access to comfort that doesn’t compromise on dignity.

Di Chapter is not fashion. It’s not just function either. It’s a quiet revolution in how we care for one another — through softness, strength, and stories still being written.

From Our Partner – Arjun Brar

In healthcare, it's often the small things that make the biggest difference.
A garment that doesn’t tug at a wound. A top that allows easy access for treatment without compromising modesty. A patient who doesn’t have to ask for help just to get dressed.

These are not luxuries — they’re essentials. And yet, they’re often overlooked.

I came across Di Chapter while searching for solutions that offer real dignity in care. What I found was more than a product line. I found a purpose.

What Priyanka created is extraordinary — not just because of her personal journey, but because she turned that experience into something others could hold onto. Something practical, thoughtful, and full of empathy.

This is why I decided to bring Di Chapter to New Zealand and Australia.

Here, too, patients deserve clothing that’s made for their needs — clothing that doesn’t feel like an afterthought. Nurses and caregivers need garments that make their work easier. And families need options that offer dignity when words often fall short.

At its core, Di Chapter is about restoring a sense of self in moments where people feel most fragile. That matters — to me, and to every patient and caregiver I’ve had the privilege of speaking with.

I’m proud to be part of this. And even prouder to help make sure it reaches the people who need it most.

About Our Journey

OUR IMPACT AND GROWTH

Since Our Beginning

A movement born from illness, shaped by empathy, and driven by design.

Di Chapter began as a personal response to the vulnerability of cancer — and quickly became a call for something bigger: clothing that restores dignity, identity, and ease in the moments we need it most.

What We’ve Built

- A Debut Collection That Redefined Recovery Soft, adaptive garments created for treatment, surgery, and long-term care — where medical access meets everyday confidence.

- Apollo Hospital, Delhi — Our First Institutional Partner Within 90 days of launch, Apollo began gifting Di Chapter gowns to discharged cancer patients — proving that healing starts with how you’re seen.

- From India to New Zealand — and Beyond We’ve partnered with care providers across New Zealand, with expansion into Australia already underway.

- Recognized by ENTREPRENARI Chosen by Navya Nanda’s platform for women-led, purpose-driven ventures reshaping how we build for impact.

- Rooted in Real Care Our garments are now part of healing journeys in hospitals, hospices, and homes — worn by patients, caregivers, and survivors alike.

- Fueled by a Community That Believes in Better Designers, nurses, families, friends — all united by the idea that recovery deserves more than a gown.

Our Mission

To humanise the recovery journey through thoughtfully designed clothing that prioritises dignity, comfort, and medical access. Our mission is to transform how patients experience illness — by creating garments that serve both clinical function and emotional wellbeing.

Our Vision

We imagine a world where every patient — no matter where they are or what they’re facing — has access to clothing that offers dignity, comfort, and identity through recovery.

By 2030, Di Chapter is committed to reaching:

- 1 million patients across hospitals, hospices, and homes

- 50+ healthcare institutions offering dignified clothing alternatives

- 100,000 garments distributed to support treatment, recovery, and daily life

- A growing network of caregivers and clinicians trained in the role of adaptive clothing in holistic healing

Because every stitch carries a message — that care can be gentle, recovery can be beautiful, and healing should always feel human.

Join the Movement

Di Chapter is more than clothing — it’s a call to care differently. It’s for anyone who believes that healing deserves beauty, and that no one should feel less seen because they are unwell.

We design clothing that is soft, adaptive, and thoughtful — pieces that honour both the medical and emotional needs of people in treatment. Whether it’s post-surgery recovery, chemotherapy, or everyday wear during long-term care, our garments are made to feel like you — not your diagnosis.

This is not just about what people wear. It’s about how we show up for them.

Join us in changing the way the world sees recovery — one story at a time.
